Overview
ChatGPT for Financial Services is a separate ChatGPT plan for financial institutions, built on ChatGPT Enterprise. It provides a tailored ChatGPT Work experience that combines built-in premium financial data with GPT-6 Astra’s reasoning for research, financial models, and customized client materials. The initial focus is investment banking and equity research.
Use it to research companies, analyze earnings, compare peers, test assumptions, and create editable financial models, research notes, and pitchbooks. With firm templates and style guides configured by your administrator, you can create materials in your firm’s format and style. Citations help you trace figures and claims to specific tables and passages, with supporting information highlighted for review.

Contact OpenAI Sales or your existing OpenAI account team to discuss your organization’s needs, pricing, and access. Availability depends on the size and type of your organization, as well as applicable data-provider restrictions.
Note that the plan applies to the entire workspace. Standard Enterprise and Financial Services seats cannot be mixed in one workspace.
Use financial data sources
Included premium financial datasets are indexed and hosted by OpenAI. They are enabled by default and do not require separate provider contracts or connector setup. Additional sources may require your organization’s existing provider subscription and access permissions.
Included datasets provide selected coverage, which may differ from the provider’s full product. Review the available sources and access requirements below. Note that availability is subject to change.

Manage workspace access
Workspace owners can manage access through the admin panel in their workspace. Note that these settings will be available after your OpenAI team confirms account setup.
Go to Workspace settings > Financial services.
Select Workspace default, or select Role overrides and choose a role.
To allow access, set ChatGPT for Financial Services to Enabled and choose the available permissions under Financial data sources.
If you are already in Permissions & roles, select Manage settings in the Financial services section. If the page is unavailable, contact your OpenAI account team to confirm workspace setup.
Your firm’s business data is not used to train OpenAI models by default. It is encrypted at rest and in transit, and admins can configure workspace retention. ChatGPT for Financial Services also builds on ChatGPT Enterprise controls, including SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, and role-based access controls.

Can I access these financial data sources with standard ChatGPT Enterprise?
No. The data sources listed above are only available with the ChatGPT for Financial Services plan. Contact your OpenAI account team to discuss access.
Why am I asked to connect a data provider?
Some sources require a connected account and your organization’s provider subscription. Access to a connected source depends on your provider entitlements and workspace permissions. Ask your workspace administrator which connections are approved and complete any required setup.
Is all financial data available in real time?
No. Coverage and update schedules vary by dataset. Some pricing and included datasets are delayed. Check the source’s date and reporting period, and review the delays listed in the table above.
Why do some citations open a web page?
