What are the Data Controls settings?
Data controls offer you the ability to choose whether your content will be used to improve and train our models
How do I turn off model training (ie. “Improve the model for everyone”)?
To disable model training, navigate to your profile icon on the top-right of the page and select Settings. > Data Controls, and disable “Improve the model for everyone."
While this is disabled, new content won’t be used to train our models.
How does OpenAI use my personal data?
Our models are trained on a broad corpus of data that includes publicly available content, licensed content, and content generated by human reviewers. We don’t use your content to market our services or create advertising profiles of you—we use it to make our models more helpful for our users.
How do I control publishing videos to the explore feed?
By default, most videos without media uploads are eligible to be published in Sora’s explore feed. Videos with media uploads can also be published if you choose to do so, so long as they do not include images or videos of real people. Once in the explore feed, other users can remix, blend, or download the videos to make their own creations. To change your default publishing settings, navigate to your profile icon on the top-right of the page and select Settings. > Data Controls, and disable “Publish to explore feed."
