What terms apply to these promo codes?
OpenAI’s Terms of Service apply. By using promotional codes, you agree that they must be used for the intended audience and purpose, may not be duplicated, sold or transferred, may have additional conditions applied to them by OpenAI, are not valid for cash or other credits or points, and may expire prior to your use.
There is a limit of one code per subscriber, and we reserve the right to revoke, terminate, or cancel the promotional codes, your use of the ChatGPT service, and/or your account without refund in cases of suspected misuse or fraud, or in compliance with applicable law.
Additional rules may apply based on your carrier’s agreement.
Who is eligible for this promotion?
This promotion is exclusively for new ChatGPT Plus subscribers—those who have never had a ChatGPT Plus subscription before. There may be other eligibility criteria that will be specified for the campaign.
How do I redeem the promo code?
Obtain your code from the partner (for example, by SMS or through their portal). Follow the unique link provided or visit chatgpt.com/p/CODE, log in or create a new ChatGPT account, and you will see confirmation if you are eligible. Then proceed to checkout, where the discount will be automatically applied.
My promo code didn't work can you send me another one?
No, OpenAI does not reissue promo codes. To request another code, reach out to the partner who gave you the code for support.
What if I get an error message that I am not eligible?
Common reasons include already having a ChatGPT Plus subscription, having used a similar promo before, the code being expired, or the promotion not being valid in your region or with your payment method. If you think you received an error by mistake, please contact customer support at help.openai.com with details.
Can I share my promo code with friends or family?
Each promo code is meant for one user and cannot be transferred or sold for cash. Some partners provide a unique code for each subscriber account, so only you can redeem it. Refer to your partner’s promotional materials for more details.
What payment methods are accepted?

Can I cancel my subscription before the promotion ends?
Yes. You can cancel anytime through your ChatGPT account settings and will retain access for any remaining time in your current paid billing cycle. Once canceled, you cannot reuse the same promo code. Reactivating your subscription after cancellation will not restore the promotional price, even if you resubscribe within the promotional period. The promotion duration must be used in consecutive months.
