ChatGPT Image Library

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This is currently available to all ChatGPT users on Web and Android/iOS.

All images you create with ChatGPT are automatically saved to your Library, giving you a single place to browse, revisit, and reuse your work without having to sift through past conversations.

You can access your Library by selecting the Library section on the left-hand sidebar on Web and mobile.

Accessing the Library

The Library enables you to see all of your images in one place, and you can quickly return to creating images by pressing the Make Image button.

Press and hold an image to open the menu, then choose Copy, Edit, Save, or Share.

Edit Image

Edit enables the option to provide a prompt with your desired edit in the conversation panel.

If you instead click on the image instead of pressing Edit, you will be brought to the image editing screen.

Copy, Save or Share image

Click Copy to copy the image to your clipboard, enabling you to paste it elsewhere.

Click Save to download the image to your device.

Click Share to send it directly to another app.

How do I delete an image from my Library?

To delete an image from the Library, delete the conversation where the image was created.

  • On web: Hover over the conversation title in the sidebar, click the three dots (...), then select Delete from the menu.

  • On mobile: Press and hold the conversation title, then tap Delete in the pop-up menu.

Why aren’t all of my images showing up in the Library?

Only images created with 4o Image Generation (not from legacy DALL·E) will show up in the Library.
