As of February 13, 2026, models GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini, OpenAI o4-mini, and GPT-5 (Instant and Thinking) have been retired from ChatGPT and are no longer available. API access remains unchanged.

Overview
ChatGPT Enterprise is a subscription plan which offers enterprise-grade security and privacy, unlimited messages with GPT-5.5 Instant, native tools like apps, deep research, data analysis, file uploads, canvas, projects, search, advanced voice, and image generation, customization options, and much more.

If you are on ChatGPT flexible pricing, please refer to this page for latest rates on our models, features and products.
Please note that access to GPT-5.5 Instant is by default disabled for ChatGPT Enterprise workspaces. Admins and owners can enable access in their workspace settings. GPT-5.5 will not be available to ChatGPT for Healthcare workspaces.
Model Picker
The model picker uses simplified controls to help members choose the balance of speed and reasoning effort that works best for their task.
Instant — Fast responses for everyday questions, powered by GPT-5.5 Instant.
Medium — Standard reasoning, powered by GPT-5.5 Thinking. This was previously Thinking Standard.
High — Extended reasoning, powered by GPT-5.5 Thinking. This was previously Thinking Extended.
Extra High — The highest reasoning effort with GPT-5.5 Thinking. This was previously Thinking Heavy.
Pro Standard — GPT-5.5 Pro with standard reasoning effort.
Pro Extended — GPT-5.5 Pro with extended reasoning effort.
Thinking Light is no longer available.
Enterprise and Edu workspaces can access all six options, subject to workspace access settings:
Reasoning Model Access controls Medium, High, and Extra High.
Pro Model Access controls Pro Standard and Pro Extended.
If a workspace setting does not allow a model, the corresponding options are hidden from members in the model picker.
On iOS and Android, the picker appears at the top of the conversation. On web, it appears in the message composer.
The picker labels do not change the underlying models, context windows, usage limits, or credit rates. For workspaces using flexible pricing, see the ChatGPT Rate Card.
Managing automatic routing for reasoning (flexible pricing)
Enterprise workspaces on flexible pricing can use Redirect Auto Router to Thinking mini to make automatically routed reasoning requests use Thinking mini instead of GPT-5.5 Thinking. No credits are consumed when Thinking mini is used.
To update this setting:
Go to Workspace settings.
Under Models, enable Redirect Auto Router to Thinking mini.
This setting is unchanged by the new model picker. It applies only when Instant automatically routes a request to reasoning. Members can still manually choose Medium, High, or Extra High when Reasoning Model Access is enabled for them.
Note on Unlimited Access
The ChatGPT Enterprise plan offers virtually unlimited GPT-5.5 messages. However, usage must adhere to our Services Agreement, which prohibits, among other things:
Abusive usage, such as automatically or programmatically extracting data.
Sharing your account credentials or making your account available to anyone else.
Reselling access or using ChatGPT to power third-party services.
We have guardrails in place to help prevent misuse and are always working to improve our systems. This may occasionally involve a temporary restriction on your usage. We will inform you when this happens, and if you think this might be a mistake, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. If policy-violating behavior is not found, your access will be restored.
GPT-5.5 behavior with role-based access control (RBAC)
For Enterprise and Edu workspaces that use RBAC, the model picker reflects each member’s current access:
Reasoning Model Access controls Medium, High, and Extra High.
Pro Model Access controls Pro Standard and Pro Extended.
Options that a member cannot access are hidden from the model picker.
If an admin removes access after a member starts a conversation with that model, new messages in the conversation will not send and will display: “Access denied. Please try using another model.”
This rollout does not change existing GPT-5.5 access settings or role assignments.
New Model Access Toggles Appear in Workspace Settings
Models like those listed above may be available to users by default through role permissions. Later, as a model is being deprecated, a dedicated toggle appears in Workspace Settings so admins can manage access explicitly. Since the model was already enabled by default, the new toggle will appear as “On,” which can look unexpected even though access was not newly granted and already existed.
