Settings reference
ChatGPT page visibility
Control where ChatGPT can read page content to power on-page help and summaries.
Allow means page content on that site can be used by Atlas features during your session.
Disabled means ChatGPT will not read page content on that site.
The list shows any sites you have disabled. If you see No disabled sites, nothing is blocked.
You can manage a site from the list here or from the lock icon in the address bar while visiting the site.
Notes
This setting affects on-page assistance. It does not change your chat history or your Data controls.
Browser memories are separate from ChatGPT memories. Disabling a site here stops Atlas from reading that page’s contents for assistance, and it prevents creating new Browser memories for that site.
Browser memories are turned on by default for new users. You can disable or manage them in your settings.
Site search engines
Manage site-specific search shortcuts in the address bar.
Add a site search, edit an existing one, or disable suggestions for a domain.
If you see a count like “13 sites,” you have disabled suggestions for 13 domains.
You can use site search to jump straight into a site’s results. Start typing the site name, press Tab, then enter your query.
Downloads location
You can choose your download location by selecting Downloads location in your Web Browsing settings.
Confirm your download folder anytime by checking the path next to Downloads location.
History
Show history
Opens a searchable view of websites you visited in Atlas.
Delete history
You can delete your web browsing history by opening your Settings, going to Web Browsing, and clicking on Delete next to Delete history.
You can select a Time range (Last 15 min, Last hour, Last 24 hours, Last 7 Days, Last 4 weeks, and All time) and choose to delete any of the following: your Chats, Web History, Cooking & other site data, and Cached images and file. When you delete Web History, any associated Browser memories will also be deleted. Please note that changes may take some time to refresh after deletion.
You can also open Advanced settings to delete your Download history, Passwords and other sign-in data, Autofill form data, and Site settings.

FAQ
How do Browser memories relate to ChatGPT memories?
They are separate. Browser memories capture helpful details from your browsing to improve on-page assistance. ChatGPT memories store recurring preferences for conversations. You can view, search, prioritize, or turn off each in Settings → Personalization. Turning off one does not turn off the other.
Does deleting browsing history delete my chats or memories?
No. Deleting browsing history clears your local visit log; it does not delete your chats or ChatGPT memories. After you delete browsing history, the browser refreshes Browser memories to exclude the deleted history. This refresh can take some time, and during it some Browser memories may be temporarily deleted or appear reverted to an earlier date. To remove chats, delete them from ChatGPT’s History. To manage Browser memories and ChatGPT memories, go to Settings → Data controls.
Why do some site controls look locked or pre-set?
On work or school devices, your admin may enforce certain settings, such as cookie rules or blocked extensions. Atlas will show the enforced state and a note that the setting is managed.
When should I disable ChatGPT page visibility for a site?
Disable page visibility on sites where you don’t want ChatGPT to read the page content. Examples include sites that handle financial, medical, or other sensitive personal data.
With page visibility off, ChatGPT won’t access the contents of that page.
Why do sign-in widgets fail when I block third-party cookies?
Some identity providers and embedded services need third-party cookies to complete sign-in. Temporarily allow cookies for that site, or add an exception under Third-party cookies.
