Ads Manager Beta Account Setup

Learn how to set up your Ads Manager Beta account.

Updated: 24 hours ago

Account setup is the process of configuring your advertiser account so you can create and manage campaigns in Ads Manager Beta. This includes completing onboarding, verifying your account, setting up billing, and inviting team members.

Each business should have only one account owner create the advertiser account. After the account is created, the account owner can invite additional team members to access Ads Manager Beta. Campaigns will not deliver until all required steps are complete.

Setup flow

Account setup happens in five steps:

  1. Access Ads Manager Beta and create your account

  2. Complete account onboarding and verification

  3. Complete account information

  4. Set up billing and payment

  5. Invite team members

1. Access Ads Manager Beta and create your account

To get started, navigate to Ads Manager Beta and follow the sign-up flow. You will need an OpenAI account to create an Ads Manager Beta account. If you do not already have an OpenAI account, you can create one during the Ads Manager Beta sign-up flow.

2. Complete account onboarding and verification

As part of sign-up, enter your business details, including the country for your advertiser account, to create your advertiser account. By creating an ad account, you agree to our Terms and have read our Privacy Policy.

  • Business details: enter your business name, website, logo, and industry

  • Account details: enter your country, currency, time zone, and any other required account information. By creating an ad account, you agree to our Terms and have read our Privacy Policy

  • Account verification: after you finish entering your business and account details, you will be asked to answer a few additional questions for account verification through Persona

Once these questions are complete, your account application will be in review. As part of the verification process, we consider whether advertisers offer products or services that are eligible for ads under our Ads Policies.

Our team will review your account and email the contact who created the account once full platform access is available. Because there are a high volume of applications that are reviewed in a rolling queue, account verification may take some time. Keep an eye on your email for when platform access is ready.

3. Complete account information

Once you receive the email that platform access has been granted, complete your account information before launching campaigns.

Navigate to Settings, then 'Account info', and make sure 'Account name' and 'Logo' are exactly how you want them to appear in the ad unit. Ads will not serve unless this step is complete.

4. Set up billing and payment

Before campaigns can deliver, billing and payment must be fully set up in Ads Manager Beta.

This includes two steps:

  • Create a billing profile: enter your business name, invoice delivery email, and billing address. Use the country or region shown for your account and complete all required billing address fields, including state/region and postal code where shown. The invoice delivery email is used for invoicing and other finance-related communication.

  • Add a payment method: enter your credit card details and billing address information.

5. Invite team members

After your advertiser account is set up, you can invite additional team members to access Ads Manager Beta.

To invite team members, navigate to ‘Settings’, then ‘Users’, then ‘Invite’ and enter the email addresses of the people you want to add.

If you manage multiple advertisers

Each advertiser requires its own account. If you are managing multiple advertisers, you will need to create an account for each advertiser following the steps above.

Account setup FAQ

Which account fields should I confirm before submitting?

Review your country or region, currency, time zone, legal business name, advertiser website, and billing details before submitting account setup. Some account-level fields may not be self-serve editable after account creation, so use the details for the entity that will advertise and be billed.

Can I change my country, currency, or time zone after creating an advertiser account?

No. The country or region, billing currency, and time zone selected when an advertiser account is created cannot be changed later.

These settings affect billing, reporting, and account eligibility, so please review them carefully during account setup. If any of these details are incorrect, you’ll need to create a new advertiser account using the correct information, where available.

What should I expect after identity or business verification?

Verification and account review are separate steps. Completing a Identity or business verification flow does not always mean the ad account is ready to run campaigns immediately. Watch for the Ads Manager account status and any email or in-product prompts requesting additional action.

Can I retry Identity verification?

If you exited before completing verification, return to the verification flow from Ads Manager when it is available and use accurate, current documents and business information. Avoid submitting duplicate or inconsistent information, because it can slow review.

Should I submit a duplicate application if my account is still in review?

No. Duplicate applications or duplicate ad accounts do not bypass review and can create confusion about the correct advertiser account. Continue from the existing account and respond to any requested verification or setup prompts. We are unable to expedite account review or ad review requests at this time.

Can my company have more than one advertiser account?

Yes. Your company can have multiple advertiser accounts, such as for different brands, legal entities, or operating teams.

Each new advertiser account must be created using a different email address. An email address that has already been used to create an advertiser account cannot be used to create another one.

After an account is created, the same user can be invited as a member or administrator of multiple advertiser accounts and switch between the accounts they have access to.
