Overview
ChatGPT Slides lets you create a presentation and keep working on it with ChatGPT and your teammates. Edit the slides directly, ask ChatGPT to make changes, and collaborate on the same deck in real time.
Availability
Slides is available on ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans with Space access. On Windows devices without the required MXC component, local AI slide creation and editing in the desktop app use PowerPoint (.pptx) files instead of collaborative Slides. Windows 10 does not support this component, and Windows 11 users may need an update or their organization to enable it. Use cloud mode or ChatGPT on the web to create and edit collaborative Slides.
Create a presentation
Ask ChatGPT in Work
Open Work and ask for a slide, presentation, or deck. Describe the topic, audience, and material it should cover. You can use an existing conversation or attach source files. ChatGPT creates an editable presentation that you can open in Space. If prompted directly, ChatGPT will provide a Powerpoint or a Google Slides
Start in Space
In Space, select Create > Slide. Start with a blank slide or choose a template.
Use a template
You can start with a template from either a Work conversation or Space. Share an example deck with ChatGPT to guide the style and layout.
For example: “Create a six-slide project update from these notes. Cover progress, risks, and next steps. Use the my project update template to guide the style and layout.”
You can create your own templates with template-creator and share them with a team by including them in any team Plugins.
Edit your slides
You can edit text, images, shapes, tables, and charts directly in the presentation.
On the web, the font picker shows fonts available in your browser. When creating slides on desktop, ChatGPT can use system fonts installed on your computer.
To change a specific element with ChatGPT, select the element, then select Request edits and describe the change. You can also use the prompt bar to request changes to the deck.
For example, ask ChatGPT to shorten a slide, update a chart from new data, or revise the layout.
Review the text, figures, and layout before sharing or presenting your deck.
Share and collaborate
Share the presentation with your teammates so you can work on the same deck. People with edit access can edit the slides at the same time.
Use shared comments to discuss changes and @mention collaborators. To request edits, @mention ChatGPT to have your agent make changes, or @mention your dot.
Comment-only access isn’t available at launch.
Present or export your deck
You can present directly from ChatGPT.
On the web, you can export your presentation to:
PowerPoint, to continue editing a .pptx file.
PDF, to share a copy for viewing.
Google Slides, to continue working in Google Slides.
Open the exported presentation and check its content and formatting before using it.
You can also open your presentation in PowerPoint or Keynote if the app is installed on your computer. On macOS, you can show the file in Finder.
