Deleting your account is permanent and can not be undone.
For security reasons, you cannot reuse the same email for a new account. All your data, including profile, conversations, and API usage, will be removed. If you've been using ChatGPT with the API, this access will also be deleted. Account deletion is permanent, so you won't be able to make an account again in the future with that email address.
To delete your ChatGPT account you can navigate to Data Controls and click Delete Account.
Then in the confirmation modal that appears click Delete Account to delete your ChatGPT account.
