Most users should be able to cancel their ChatGPT Plus subscriptions from within their accounts following the simple instructions here.
If your account is no longer accessible (For example, you may have signed up for ChatGPT Plus using a work email that you no longer have access to), you have two options:
We can cancel your subscription on your behalf. Some users may sign up for our services while living in a supported country, but then relocate or need to travel for an extended period in an unsupported country. This is a good option if you lost access but want to keep the account open to replace the existing payment method
You can delete your account and cancel your subscription. You can log a policy request to do so via our Privacy Request Portal. This automatically cancels your subscription as well. Please Note: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. You can find more details here.
If you choose Option #1, please reach out to support and let us know:
The email address associated with the account you can no longer access
The last four digits of the payment card associated with your subscription
The date of your most recent subscription payment
We'll be able to locate the account and cancel the subscription on your behalf.
