We have rolled out access to the ChatGPT macOS app to a small portion of our users, and plan to enable access to all of our users later this year.
Temporary Chat enables you to have a conversation with ChatGPT that starts with a blank slate. ChatGPT won’t remember any memories or be aware of any previous conversations. Temporary chats will not appear in your history, and temporary chats will not be used to improve our models.
If any custom instructions have been set, ChatGPT will still follow those instructions.

To enable Temporary Chat, click on the model name at the top of the application window and select the Temporary Chat toggle.
When Temporary Chat is enabled, we will confirm in the window by darkening the prompt window and adding a Temporary Chat banner:
