Your ChatGPT profile brings together your name, photo, activity, and Sites you choose to showcase. You can keep your personal profile private or share it publicly. In ChatGPT Business, workspace settings control whether coworkers can view your workspace profile.
Shareable profiles are available in all countries. On web and desktop, you can share your profile and view or add Sites to your showcase. Showcase isn’t available on mobile. Shareable profiles for ChatGPT Enterprise are coming soon.
Open and customize your profile
Sign in to ChatGPT and visit chatgpt.com/profile.
You can edit your display name, username, profile photo, and bio. Your personal and Business profiles use the same name, username, and photo, while each workspace has its own activity, showcase, and sharing settings.
You can also customize your profile’s theme and layout and choose which sections to show. These choices are saved separately for each workspace’s profile.
To view or manage your profile in a different workspace, switch to that workspace in ChatGPT.
Share your personal profile
Your personal profile is private by default. If sharing is available to you, open your profile, select Share in the top-right corner, and choose the public sharing level. Review the information on your profile before sharing the link. Shared profiles don’t show conversation titles or content.
Your profile link uses your username, in this format: https://chatgpt.com/u/your-username. If you change your username, your old profile link stops working. Share the link with your new username instead.
People must sign in to ChatGPT to view a profile. If your personal profile is public, anyone signed in to ChatGPT can view it.
To make your personal profile private again, select Share in the top-right corner of your profile and choose to make it private.
Profiles in ChatGPT Business
Business profiles are shared with other members of the same workspace by default. To change the sharing level, workspace admins can go to Workspace settings > Permissions & roles > Member profiles and choose a sharing level, including making all member profiles private. Members can’t change their workspace profile’s sharing level themselves.
To view a coworker’s Business profile, switch to the workspace you share with them. You can view it when workspace sharing is enabled. People outside that workspace can’t view its Business profiles.
Your personal profile has separate sharing settings. Making it public doesn’t make your Business workspace activity or showcase public.
Your profile link can show different profiles depending on the viewer’s selected workspace and access. If someone can’t access your Business profile, they may see your personal profile if it’s public.
Understand your profile activity
Your profile can show Chat message counts, Work and Codex token usage, and activity streaks. Message counts and token usage are shown separately.
Activity includes daily, weekly, and cumulative totals. A day counts toward your activity streak when you have Chat messages or token activity from Work or Codex. A day with both types of activity counts once.
Your top plugins appear in a separate section.
The activity shown belongs to the workspace you’re viewing. Switch workspaces to view activity from another workspace.
Showcase your Sites
You can showcase up to 12 Sites you own on each profile.
To add a Site to your showcase, choose one of your Sites from your profile. You can also add a public Site from that Site’s sharing options.
The Site must belong to the same workspace as the profile and be available to the people who can view that profile:
Public personal profile: The Site must be public.
Shared Business profile: The Site must be available to the whole workspace or be public.
Private profile: You can add a Site you own and can access, including one shared only with selected people or groups.
Adding a Site to your showcase doesn’t change who can access it. If the Site’s permissions change so that people viewing your profile can no longer access it, the Site stops appearing on that shared profile.
You can remove a Site from your showcase or change the order of the Sites you display.
Sites shared only with selected people or groups cannot appear on a public or workspace-shared profile. If a Site is deleted or transferred to another owner, it is removed from your showcase.

You can’t share Skills on a personal profile.
Can I block specific people from viewing my profile?
You can’t block specific people from viewing your profile. To stop sharing your personal profile publicly, make it private.
Why is a username unavailable when I can’t find a profile using it?
A username can be taken even if you can’t view the profile that uses it.
