Overview
ChatGPT-powered features are available in Rakuten Viber through an integration between Viber and OpenAI. These features let you use ChatGPT in parts of Viber, including message translation, AI summaries, AI Polish, Image Remix, the ChatGPT tab, and @ChatGPT mentions in chats where available.

What you can do with ChatGPT in Viber
Depending on availability in Viber, you can use ChatGPT-powered features to:
Translate a message.
Summarize a shared link or unread group chat messages.
Polish a draft message before sending it.
Remix an image using a prompt or preset style.
Use the ChatGPT tab for a direct ChatGPT conversation in Viber.
Mention @ChatGPT in supported private or group chats so ChatGPT can respond in that chat.

Using your ChatGPT account in Viber
You can use some ChatGPT-powered features without connecting a ChatGPT account. If you reach Viber's daily limit or want higher limits where available, Viber may ask you to connect or create a ChatGPT account.
When you connect your ChatGPT account, Viber opens a secure OpenAI sign-in or sign-up flow. Your use of ChatGPT-powered features may then be associated with your ChatGPT account and handled under OpenAI's standard retention policies.
You can disconnect your ChatGPT account from Viber settings. After disconnecting, your daily limits may be reduced and some ChatGPT-powered features may not be available.
Data and privacy
When you use a ChatGPT-powered feature in Viber, Viber sends OpenAI the information needed to provide that feature. Depending on the feature, this may include the message, draft, image, prompt, link content, unread group messages, recent messages needed to answer an @ChatGPT mention, a Viber-generated hashed user ID, timestamps, and approximate location such as country or city.
Treat information shared through these features like information you choose to provide directly to ChatGPT, especially if it includes sensitive or personal information.
OpenAI does not use data sent from Viber's ChatGPT-powered features in Viber personal and group chats to train its models. If you connect your ChatGPT account, your activity with Viber's AI features is associated with that account and handled under OpenAI's standard retention policies. ChatGPT tab conversations are handled under OpenAI's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy like conversations in ChatGPT.

Limits and availability
Viber may limit how often you can use ChatGPT-powered features each day. Daily limits may differ depending on whether you connect a ChatGPT account and which ChatGPT plan you have.
