To make hardware security keys more accessible, OpenAI has partnered with Yubico to offer eligible OpenAI users access to a tailored bundle of YubiKeys at preferred pricing.
For users who choose to use hardware security keys for sign-in, ChatGPT supports any FIDO-compatible security key, including the YubiKeys included in this bundle.
What is included
The bundle includes two YubiKeys: a YubiKey C Nano designed to stay in your laptop for low-friction everyday authentication, and a YubiKey C NFC that gives you a backup key that is also convenient across desktop and mobile devices. This bundle is set up without OTP support, reducing fallback paths and helping strengthen the overall sign-in experience. These keys support passkeys and multiple authentication protocols, so they can be used with many other apps and services.
The Yubico checkout page shows the current bundle details, pricing, taxes, shipping options, and other purchase details before you complete your order.
Availability
The YubiKey bundle may be available to eligible users in the US, UK, and EEA. Availability may vary by country, account eligibility, inventory, and other restrictions.
You need to be signed in to your OpenAI account to verify eligibility and access the purchase experience. If the YubiKey bundle page or Order a YubiKey prompt is not available for your account, you can still use another compatible FIDO security key or passkey.

Follow the prompts to verify eligibility.
Complete checkout on Yubico's website.
You may also see an Order a YubiKey prompt while enrolling in Advanced Account Security.
When you select Order a YubiKey or open the YubiKey bundle page, you are redirected to Yubico's website to complete the purchase. Any information you provide to Yubico during checkout is subject to Yubico's terms and privacy policy.

Use YubiKeys with Advanced Account Security
Advanced Account Security requires at least two secure sign-in methods, including one that works across devices. These can include passkeys, FIDO-compatible security keys, or a combination of both. The OpenAI + Yubico YubiKey bundle is one eligible form of secure sign-in that is compatible with this program. If you order the OpenAI + Yubico YubiKey bundle, you can use the keys with Advanced Account Security after you receive and set them up. YubiKey order and hardware support
YubiKey purchases are completed through Yubico. For anything related to purchasing YubiKeys, Yubico's ecommerce site, order status, shipping, returns, refunds, payment issues, or issues with a YubiKey itself, submit a request to Yubico Support.

Do I need a YubiKey to use Advanced Account Security?
No. A YubiKey is optional. You can use passkeys, compatible FIDO security keys, or a combination of both, as long as you meet the setup requirements.
Can I order the bundle without enrolling in Advanced Account Security?
Yes. Eligible users can order through the offer even if they do not enroll in Advanced Account Security.
Can OpenAI refund my YubiKey order?
No. OpenAI does not process YubiKey payments, returns, refunds, shipping requests, or ecommerce support. Refund eligibility and return handling are managed by Yubico under Yubico's terms and policies.
