The ChatGPT Pro plan offers unlimited access to GPT-5 as well as our legacy models. However, usage must adhere to our Terms of Use, which prohibits, among other things:
Abusive usage, such as automatically or programmatically extracting data.
Sharing your account credentials or making your account available to anyone else.
Reselling access or using ChatGPT to power third-party services.
We have guardrails in place to help prevent misuse and are always working to improve our systems. This may occasionally involve a temporary restriction on your usage. We will inform you when this happens, and if you think this might be a mistake, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at help.openai.com using the widget at the bottom-right of this page. If policy-violating behavior is not found, your access will be restored.

Who is the Pro plan for?
ChatGPT Pro is designed for people who rely on AI to get high-stakes, complex work done. It includes access to our most capable Pro model and significantly higher usage allowance for advanced tools like Deep Research and Codex. You can think about our tiers as follows:
Plus $20 – For lighter use. Try advanced capabilities like Codex and Deep Research for select projects throughout the week.
Pro $100 – Built for real projects. For those who use advanced tools and models throughout the week with 5x higher limits than Plus.
Pro $200 – For heavy lifting. Run your most demanding workflows continuously, even across parallel projects, with 20x higher limits than Plus.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
You can upgrade anytime from the Pricing page or from Settings → My Plan. Once you select a Pro plan, the new usage limits and capabilities apply immediately.
What’s the difference between the two Pro tiers?
Both Pro tiers include the same core capabilities. The main difference is usage allowance: Pro $100 unlocks 5x higher usage than Plus, while Pro $200 unlocks 20x usage than Plus.
Is the existing $200 Pro plan changing?
No. The $200 Pro plan remains the highest usage tier. The $100 plan simply adds another option for users who want Pro capabilities with lower usage.
How do I change between the $100 and $200 Pro tiers?
You can switch between the two Pro tiers anytime from Settings → My Plan. Billing adjustments are applied automatically based on your billing cycle.
Can I cancel or change my plan anytime?
Yes. You can change or cancel your subscription anytime from Settings → My Plan. If you upgrade, your new plan takes effect immediately and your billing cycle starts over. If you move to a lower tier, the change takes effect at your next renewal and you keep your current plan until then. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period, and your plan will not renew.
Is there an annual plan available?
Currently, we do not support annual billing or the option to pay for multiple months in advance for ChatGPT Go, Plus, or Pro subscriptions.
