Logging in with a different method
If you originally signed up using an email and password, you can later log in using a social login method (Google, Microsoft, or Apple) as long as the email address matches.
Your account will automatically combine both login methods, allowing you to log in using either your original email/password or your new social login.
Social login methods
If you initially signed up using SSO or a social login method (such as Google, Microsoft, or Apple), you can change your email by following this article. If you are an Enterprise customer, your account director can reset pre-authorization to enable username/password login.
Note that if you signed up with Sign in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, your account will be tied to Apple’s private relay email address instead of your personal email. To access the original account, continue using Sign in with Apple with the same Apple ID; using your personal email or another social login method will open a different account.
Managing multi-factor authentication (MFA)
MFA is tied to the login method you used when setting it up.
To switch your login method after enabling MFA:
Disable MFA first.
Log out, then log back in using the new sign-in method.
Re-enable MFA with your new login method.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: Once MFA is turned on, you must continue using your current login method until MFA is disabled.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account is permanent and does not change its sign-in method. If you signed up with Google, Apple, or Microsoft, you may be able to add a password to your existing account without deleting it:
Sign in using your original sign-in method.
Open Settings and select Security and login.
If Password shows Add, select Add and follow the instructions.
If you don’t see this option, your account may not be eligible.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting your account does NOT allow you to change your authentication method.
