Introducing Premium seats for ChatGPT Business. Premium seats cost $100 per user per month when billed annually, or $125 per user per month when billed monthly. Premium includes 5x more usage than Standard seats, no 5-hour usage limit, and the flexibility to mix, assign, and reassign seat types – all within one secure, centrally managed workspace.
Additionally, we’ve updated the way seats are used in ChatGPT Business. You can purchase Standard or Premium seats to allocate capacity for your workspace, and then assign them to different users, as needed. You can also switch users across seats, add capacity, or remove capacity.

ChatGPT Business is a self-serve plan designed for organizations that want a shared ChatGPT workspace for their teams.
A Business workspace provides:

ChatGPT Business is built around two types of seats: Standard ChatGPT seats and Premium ChatGPT seats. Each seat type determines what usage limits a user has.

A seat is paid capacity in a workspace, separate from the member who uses it. Workspace owners purchase seats and can then assign them to new members when inviting them or to existing members. A Business workspace requires at least 2 Standard or Premium seats in total: 2 of either type, or 1 of each.

Standard ChatGPT seats
Standard ChatGPT seats include access to ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex, as well as features such as GPTs, Projects, Apps, Company Knowledge, ChatGPT Agent, Deep Research, as well as Codex. The seats include baseline access, and you can use flexible pricing and purchase workspace credits for usage beyond the included rate limits.
For most countries, pricing (USD) is $25 per user per month if billed monthly and $20 per user per month if billed annually. Note that pricing may vary depending on your country and currency type - see the pricing page for more details.
Standard ChatGPT seats include access to both ChatGPT Work and Codex, our agentic work product and coding platform. Review included rates and limits, and the ChatGPT Rate Card for prices for usage beyond included limits.
Premium ChatGPT seats
Premium ChatGPT seats include all the same access as Standard seats, but with higher usage limits. You can also use flexible pricing and purchase workspace credits for usage beyond the included rate limits.
Mixing seat types in a workspace
A Business workspace can include Standard ChatGPT seats, Premium ChatGPT seats, or a mix of both. You can manage seats and change seat types in workspace settings.

Privacy, terms, and data handling
ChatGPT Business adheres to our Business Terms and the privacy policies listed on the Enterprise Privacy page. OpenAI won’t train on your workspace’s data.
ChatGPT Business compared with other plans
ChatGPT Business is a self-serve workspace plan for teams. If you need a larger deployment or more advanced controls, consider ChatGPT Enterprise.
ChatGPT Business is separate from the API platform. A ChatGPT Business subscription does not include API usage - API usage is billed separately. Learn more about the API Platform.

Is ChatGPT Business the same as ChatGPT Team?
Yes. ChatGPT Team was renamed to ChatGPT Business on August 29, 2025. The rename itself did not change the plan, but later pricing and seat options can still change over time.
Can a single workspace include both Standard ChatGPT seats and Premium seats?
Yes.
Does ChatGPT Business still require 2 users?
Yes, ChatGPT Business workspaces require 2 Standard or Premium ChatGPT seats (1 of each, for a total of two, meets this criteria as well).
Can I use the ChatGPT API with this plan?
API usage is separate and billed independently.
Can I create a new ChatGPT Business account after deleting my previous one?
Yes. After 30 days, you can create a new account with the same email if the prior account was fully deleted and not merely deactivated. Deleted accounts cannot be reactivated.
