Why did the name change?
We renamed ChatGPT Team to ChatGPT Business to better reflect how customers use ChatGPT today: to grow their company’s impact. We also heard from customers that this name was clearer. This is a name change only. All features, pricing and limits remain the same.
Do I need to update my contract or agreement with OpenAI?
No. All existing contracts and terms remain in effect.
Will my invoices or receipts change?
Yes, invoices and receipts will now list ChatGPT Business instead of ChatGPT Team. There are no changes to pricing, taxes, or billing processes.
Do I need to update my procurement or vendor records?
Only if your internal processes require it. The plan name has changed to ChatGPT Business, but OpenAI remains the vendor of record.
Will users notice anything different?
Yes, your users may see ChatGPT Business in their account settings, on our website, or in OpenAI emails. Their features, usage limits, and experience remain unchanged.
Are there any changes to features, pricing, limits or security?
No. Your plan remains the same. As always, your business data is excluded from training by default and is encrypted in transit and at rest.
